Christopher has raised over $75,000.00 for the Canadian Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation.
Now Christopher needs our help and support to raise funds to

As you all may know, Christopher has never
allowed his CF to get in his way. He is a third year Kinesiology
student at the University of Windsor. He coaches and plays
soccer and hockey year round.
 |
He has been named
one of 2004’s “Top 20 Under 20” Canadians and
received the 2006 National Terry Fox Humanitarian
Award because of his work with and fundraising for
the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF), as
well as for his community and school involvements.
He has raised $75,000 for the CCFF alone, but this
money has been allocated to national research and
programs. |
Recently Christopher was hospitalized twice
for a total of 25 days with pneumonia, first in one lung and
then the other. During his hospital stays he was introduced to
this fairly new (in Canada) form of physiotherapy - a high
frequency chest compression vest. Christopher found it to be
very beneficial, and he has been able to get over the pneumonias
quickly
The cost of the vest is $14,884.00 US funds, plus any US
exchange, tax, shipping and duty charges. The family’s health
care benefit plan will not cover any of the cost of this vest,
nor will any government plan.

His name is Chris, I don't
know him well
But I've heard the stories that people do tell.
He's young, he's smart and good looking too
But health problems have been more than a few.
He grew up doing the things
boys do
Hockey, soccer, and swimming too
His health didn't stop him from doing these things
He's our town hero, we should treat him like a king
For Cystic Fibrosis, he's raised money galore
Now he needs us to raise some more
But this time the money is for him & the vest
Its time to give back, he deserves the best.
An inspiration to all,
that's what Chris is
Let's reach in our pockets so a vest can be his.
Imagine what Chris goes thru from day to day
We all need to pitch in so the vest can be paid.
A few dollars here, a few
dollars there
It all adds up, anything you can spare.
He needs our help and we won't let him down
Because he is loved by everyone in town.
So Chris don't worry, the
money will be raised
We'll help and support you in those November days.
We'll drink, we'll dance and eat spaghetti too
This town wants to help so that's what we'll do.
